Overview
A type of cancer that begins in the lungs, most commonly in cells lining air passages. The leading cause of cancer death worldwide.
Symptoms
Persistent cough, coughing up blood, chest pain, shortness of breath, hoarseness, weight loss, bone pain.
Causes
Smoking (85-90% of cases), secondhand smoke, radon exposure, asbestos, air pollution, family history.
